Meet Henry Byaruhanga, one of 8 young players who were pioneers members of Kampala Junior Team which started in 2003. Now aged 11, he was just 6 years old when he joined the KJT. He is already a talented footballer and Captain of the Under 12s.
Henry’s mother cannot support him as they are from the slums so he stays with Coach Kabugo where he lives and from where he attends school.
Henry’s dream is to be like any other child. He wants to live a good life, attend a good school, and have the opportunity to reach his full potential and become a professional footballer in the future. He would love to play in competitive leagues around the world but he lacks sponsorship and help on how he can achieve his dreams.
“Honestly Henry is one of the best young players in KJT young Team and he is a promising boy, he would be more concentrating when he is at school, studying and he adds his football skills but he always get school problem as fees are disturbing me to pay for him” Coach Kabugo says.
