The KJT Story

In the words of Coach Kabugo :

Am Mansoor Kabugo one of the Talent promoters of young generation in Uganda. I started this project in 2002 and since then i have attended 3 coaching courses in football and this is what Inspired me to start up an organization of Talents Identification Called Kampala Junior Team.

I find many struggles with other friends to manage this organization towards its mission.

KJT started with 8 Kids in football but after being so active and approaching poor families, the parents were happy with our Aims and they brought many of their children although they thought there would be sponsorship for education. How ever we have this idea of getting them sponsorship in schools since most of them now who are about 375 Kids who joined us since 2003. Although some of them have grown Big to age of 18+ and they left the Team, we still have many who come to join many of the orphans, and slum kids.

In this big number of 375 kids i got 22 orphans who had come from the Street and i decided to stay with them in my small house. They are all boys who are very good Footballers now am proud of them.

Besides the Team is now composed of Boys and Girls doing different a activities. as you can see www.onehelpinganother.com

Since 2003 we have produced many good players to the national league in the first division.

and in 2004 we managed to participate in Nyamirambo Cup in Rwanda sponsered by Coca cola and we had 3 categories as KJT thats Under 12, 14 &16 Good news was all the cups were brought to KJT.

In 2006 we participated in Michezo Africa International Cup. Nairobi Kenya and we participate as Under 10, 13,&15 and We won Under 15 cup.

In 2007 we participated in Michezo Africa International Cup In Nairobi and we took U8, U10, U12 & U14 and we took all the Age Cup what a nice achievements for us?

Currently am blessed to be the Director Of Kampala Junior Team,

coordinator of Uganda Youth Football Associations in Central Uganda

and kampala youth football association am working there as the treasure for it. Am also a member of the Uganda Coaches Associations. Am am also a member in Buganda Coaches Associations.
